Select Access Criteria: Role Selection

You use the Select Access Criteria page to select the role with which you want to access to the PRD Airman Records portal (Pilot, Authorized Consumer, Proxy Authorized Consumer or Trustee Authorized Consumer). This page displays after you click Accept on the System Use Notice page or when you click the Back to Role Selection Page link on the Pilot Information page.

Note that on this page you can also initiate the process to register for Air Carrier, Proxy or Trustee by clicking the appropriate hyperlink at the top of the page. If you already have an Air Carrier, Proxy or Trustee role, clicking the link will take you out of the PRD External application and to the Role Registration page in the Air Carrier portal; if you have not yet registered for an Air Carrier, Proxy or Trustee role, it will take you to the First Time Air Carrier User Registration page in the Air Carrier portal.

To select the Pilot role

1. On the Select Access Criteria page, select Pilot from the Select a Role drop-down list. The list is populated with all your assigned roles.

• If you only have a pilot role, the Select a Role drop-down list will be pre-populated to Pilot.

2. Click Select. The PRD External application is opened and the landing/home page displays; for the Pilot user; this is the Pilot Inbox page.

• To return to the Select Access Criteria page and log in to the application using a different role, click the Back to Role Selection Page hyperlink on the Pilot Information page.

To select an Authorized, Proxy or Trustee Authorized Consumer role

Instead of logging in to the PRD Airman Records portal as a Pilot, you can log in as an Authorized, Trustee or Proxy Authorized Consumer if you have one of these roles that has been approved.

1. On the Select Access Criteria page, select Authorized Consumer or Proxy Authorized Consumer or Trustee Authorized Consumer from the Select a Role drop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all your assigned roles appropriate to accessing the PRD External application.
2. From the Select an Air Carrier drop-down list, select the Air Carrier on whose behalf you want to work. The list is auto-populated with all the Air Carriers with which you are associated.
3. If you selected the Proxy Authorized Consumer role, select the proxy organization on whose behalf you want to work from the Select Proxy drop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all the proxies with which you are associated for the selected Air Carrier.

4. If you selected the Trustee Authorized Consumer role, select the trustee organization on whose behalf you want to work from the Select Trustee drop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all the trustees with which you are associated for the selected Air Carrier.

5. Click Select. The PRD External application is opened and the landing/home page displays for the Authorized, Proxy or Trustee Authorized Consumer user, this is the Air Carrier home page.

To change from a Pilot Role to an Authorized, Proxy Trustee Authorized Consumer role

If you have been working in the PRD Airman Records portal using your Pilot role and want instead to use one of your Authorized, Proxy or Trustee Authorized Consumer role, you can do so by returning to this Select Access Criteria page. Click the Back to Role Selection Page hyperlink on the Pilot Information page to return to the Select Access Criteria page and then follow the steps below.

1. On the Select Access Criteria page, select Authorized, Proxy Authorized or Trustee Authorized Consumer from the Select a Role drop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all your assigned roles.
2. Select the air carrier on whose behalf you want to work from the Select an Air Carrierdrop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all the Air Carriers with which you are associated.
3. If you selected the Proxy Authorized Consumer role, select the proxy organization on whose behalf you want to work from the Select Proxy drop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all the proxies with which you are associated for the selected air carrier.
4. If you selected the Trustee Authorized Consumer role, select the trustee organization on whose behalf you want to work from the Select Trustee drop-down list. The list is auto-populated with all the trustees with which you are associated for the selected Air Carrier.
5. Click the Select button. The PRD External application is opened and the landing/home page displays; for the Authorized, Proxy or Trustee Authorized Consumer user, this is the Air Carrier home page.

To change from an Authorized, Proxy or Trustee Authorized Consumer role to a Pilot Role

If you have been working in PRD External as an Authorized, Proxy or Trustee Authorized Consumer and want to switch to a Pilot role, you can do so by returning to this Select Access Criteria page. Click the Back to Role Selection Page hyperlink on the Air Carrier Home page to return to the Select Access Criteria page and then follow the steps below.

1. On the Select Access Criteria page, select Pilot from the Select a Role drop-down list.

2. Click Select. The PRD External application is opened and the landing/home page displays; for the Pilot user, this is the Pilot Inbox page.
