Air Carrier Role Registration

The Air Carrier Role Registration page, which can be accessed from the PRD External Select Access Criteria page, allows you to register for a new role, Air Carrier, Proxy or Trustee organization if you already have an approved Air Carrier, Proxy or Trustee user role. This page is actually in the Air Carrier application not the PRD application. You are taken out of the PRD application and routed to the Select Access Criteria page in the Air Carrier portal once you complete the Air Carrier role registration process, you can return to the Air Carrier External application Select Access Criteria page.

This page can be accessed only from the Select Access Criteria page by clicking on one of the following links at the top of this page:

• If you would like to register for Air Carrier access, Please click here.

• If you would like to register for Proxy access, Please click here.

• If you would like to register for Trustee access, Please click here.

Clicking either link pops up a message box indicating that you are leaving the PRD External application and navigating to the Air Carrier External application to register for an Air Carrier role. Click OK to continue.

Each of these links take you to a Role Registration page if you already have at least one Air Carrier role. The difference is that the Role Registration page to register as a Proxy or Trustee User has a Proxy or Trustee field in addition to an Air Carrier/Operator field and a Role drop-down list. However, if you do not already have at least one Air Carrier role assigned, the Air Carrier First Time User Registration page displays rather than the Role Registration page.

This registration page will look slightly different depending upon whether you are requesting a new Air Carrier registration, Proxy registration or Trustee registration.

The title bar showing the application name, "Pilot Records Database," displays at the top of the page below the standard FAA page header. The Home, User Guide, Help and Sign Out links are displayed in the top-right corner of the FAA page header. The Home link navigates you to your landing, or home, page; Manage Users. The User Guide link opens the Air Carrier External User Guide which is the secondary resource for Air Carrier External PRD application user procedures and reference information. The system Help link opens the top-level help topic, Welcome. The Sign-Out link logs you out of PRD and displays the Sign Out page.

Register for Air Carrier Access

If you are already a registered as an Air Carrier External user and want to register for an add an additional role or an additional air carrier, you can do so by clicking the "If you would like to register for Air Carrier access, Please click here" link on the Select Access Criteria page, which will take you to the Role Registration page for Air Carrier registration. You will be warned that you are leaving the PRD External application and are being taken to the Role Registration page in the Air Carrier External Application. Once you complete the Air Carrier role registration process, you can return to the PRD External application.

Once on the Role Registration page, follow the steps below.

1. Enter the first few characters of the air carrier's name in the Air Carrier/Operator field. This is a smart search field. The system auto-populates a list of air carriers to select from based on the characters entered. Select the appropriate air carrier from the list.
2. Select the role that you are requesting from the Role drop-down list. The Role drop-down list has the following choices:

• Authorized Consumer
• Authorized Contributor
• Authorized Responsible Person
• Authorized User Manager

3. Click Register. A confirmation message displays stating that your registration request has been submitted.
4. Click Go Back to return to the Select Access Criteria page in the Air Carrier External application and complete your login with one of your current roles.

Register for Proxy Access

Register for Proxy Access

If you are already a registered as an Air Carrier External user and want to register for proxy access, you can do so by clicking the "If you would like to register for Proxy access, Please click here" link on the Select Access Criteria page, which will take you to the Role Registration page for proxy registration. You will be warned that you are leaving the PRD External application and are being taken to the Role Registration page in the Air Carrier External Application. Once you complete the Air Carrier role registration process, you can return to the PRD External application.

Once on the Role Registration page, follow the steps below.

1. Enter the first few characters of the air carrier's name in the Air Carrier/Operator field. This is a smart search field. The system auto-populates a list of air carriers to select from based on the characters entered. Select the appropriate air carrier from the list.
2. Enter the first few characters of the proxy organization's name in the Proxy field. This is a smart search field. The system auto-populates a list of proxy organizations to select from based on the characters entered. Select the appropriate proxy organization from the list.
3. Select the role that you are requesting from the Role drop-down list. The Role drop-down list has the following choices:

• Proxy Authorized Consumer
• Proxy Authorized Contributor
• Proxy Responsible Person
• Proxy User Manager

4. Click Register. A confirmation message displays stating that your registration request has been submitted.
5. Click Go Back to return to the Select Access Criteria page in the Air Carrier External application and complete your login with one of your current roles.

Register for Trustee Access

If you are already a registered as an Air Carrier External user and want to register for trustee access, you can do so by clicking the "If you would like to register for Trustee access, Please click here" link on the Select Access Criteria page, which will take you to the Role Registration page for trustee registration. You will be warned that you are leaving the PRD External application and are being taken to the Role Registration page in the Air Carrier External Application. Once you complete the Air Carrier role registration process, you can return to the PRD External application.

Once on the Role Registration page, follow the steps below.

1. Enter the first few characters of the air carrier's name in the Air Carrier/Operator field. This is a smart search field. The system auto-populates a list of air carriers to select from based on the characters entered. Select the appropriate air carrier from the list.
2. Enter the first few characters of the trustee organization's name in the Trustee field. This is a smart search field. The system auto-populates a list of trustee organizations to select from based on the characters entered. Select the appropriate trustee organization from the list.
3. Select the role that you are requesting from the Role drop-down list. The Role drop-down list has the following choices:

• Trustee Authorized Consumer
• Trustee Authorized Contributor
• Trustee Responsible Person
• Trustee User Manager

4. Click Register. A confirmation message displays stating that your registration request has been submitted.
5. Click Go Back to return to the Select Access Criteria page in the Air Carrier External application and complete your login with one of your current roles.
