You use the Correction Request page to search for and view any correction or missing data requests you have submitted to current or previous employers (or reporting entities) regarding your employment records they entered into the PRD. Additionally, this page allows you to submit new correction or missing data requests, if needed.
The Correction functions can be accessed at any time during your use of the PRD Airman Records portal by clicking Correction on the top-level menu. The Correction menu consists of two submenus: Correction Request and Correction Request History. When you click Correction on the top-level menu, the Correction Request page displays.

The title bar displays the application name, "Pilot Records Database," at the top of the page below the standard FAA page header. The Home, User Guide, Help and Sign Out links are displayed in the top-right corner of the FAA page header. The Home link navigates you to your landing (or home) page, Pilot Inbox. The User Guide link opens the PRD Pilot User Guide, which is the secondary resource for PRD Pilot external application user procedures and reference information. The system Help link opens the top-level help topic, Welcome. The Sign Out link logs you out of PRD and displays a window with a message for successful sign-out.
The PRD Airman Records portal top-level navigation menu displays at the top of the page (below the title bar) and contains the links that provide access to the Pilot commands (or functions): Pilot Inbox, Pilot Info, Disapprovals, Enforcement, Accidents/Incidents, Experience, Consent, Notifications, Correction and User Profile. The page-level Help link also displays on the top-level menu and opens the top-level help topic specific to the current page. Your name displays in the bottom of the application header, right justified.
Below the menu, the header section displays the pilot's first name, last name, certificate number and the date the pilot last visited this page. This header displays on each of the pilot pages in the PRD.
Locate a Correction Request by Section (Experience Area)
The Correction Request page displays the various criteria by which you can search for correction requests you have submitted based on section (experience area). Note that you must include in your search the section (or experience area) along with any other criteria you wish to use to narrow your search. The search results display all existing records for you within that section (experience area) as well as any associated correction requests you have already submitted to reporting entities.
To locate a Correction Request by Section (Experience Area), follow the steps below:
In the Correction Request Search Criteria section:
Select a section (experience area) from the Section drop-down list. The choices are:
Disciplinary Action
Drug or Alcohol
Employment
Duty
Training
FAA Drug or Alcohol
Select either “Correction Request” or “Missing Data” from the Request Type dropdown list.
Use the calendar icon to open the widget and enter the Request Date From. The date can be entered as free-form text if desired. For date entry specifications, see Standardized Data Entry.
Use the calendar icon to open the widget and enter the Request Date To. The date can be entered as free-form text if desired. For date entry specifications, see Standardized Data Entry.
If the Date From AND the Date To are entered, the Date To must be later than the Date From. If the Date To is earlier than the Date From, an error message displays the Date To must be later than the Date From.
Select either “Open” or “Closed” from the Status dropdown list.
Enter the record ID number in the Record ID field.
If the request is for missing data, there will be no record ID.
Click the Search button. The system displays two data grids. The first data grid displays any existing records for you as entered by your current or previous employers under the section (or experience area) you selected. The second data grid displays any correction requests or missing data requests you submitted that are associated with the section (or experience area) you selected.
If no records have been entered for you under the selected section (or experience area), a message displays indicating that no records exist.
You may see the load spinner depending on the amount of time the page takes to load. If the page does not load within a reasonable period of time, close the spinner window by clicking the X in the top-right corner and retry executing the search.
Click the Clear button to clear the search criteria and results for performing a new search.
Working with the Section (Experience Area) Data Grid
The Section (Experience Area) data grid displays existing employment records for you as entered by your current or previous employers (or reporting entities) under the section (experience area) you selected when entering your search criteria. Note that the heading of the data grid displays the experience area you selected (e.g., Disciplinary Actions). If you select a different section (experience area), both the heading and the columns displayed will change based on your selection.
The column-heading row displays the descriptive text for the column content. Each column heading is also used to sort the data in ascending or descending order. For more information on working with data grid functions, see Working with Data Grids. The default display for the data in this example, the Disciplinary Actions data grid, is as follows:
The first column displays a check box, which allows you to select a record in the grid.
The second column, Record ID, displays the system-generated ID number assigned to the record.
The third column, Reporting Entity, displays the name of the employer that entered the record.

The eighth column, Created Date, displays the date the record was entered into the PRD.
The ninth column, Correction Status, displays the current status of any correction request or missing data request. The column is blank if no correction request has been submitted.
To export the data grid content, click either the Export to Excel or Export to PDF buttons. For more information on exporting data, see Exporting Data.
Request Correction to an Error in Your Record(s)
